Dr. Morteza H. Ghaffari

Biography:
Dr. Morteza Ghaffari obtained a BSc in Animal Science at the University of Kurdistan (2004) and a Master's Degree in Ruminant Nutrition at the Isfahan University of Technology (2007).
He completed a Ph.D. in Ruminant Nutrition at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 2013 and spend his sabbatical leave at the University of Western Australia ( 2011-2012 ).
He completed his post-doctoral training with Dr. Michael Steele at the University of Alberta (2016-2017) .
In November 2017, he started a new position as a Scientific Staff at the University of Bonn (Institute for Animal Science, Germany). He currently supervises MSc and Ph.D. students, and his research is focused on dairy cows and calves, integrating and advancing biostatistical approaches into physiology.
He has established productive collaborations with working groups throughout Canada, Iran, the USA, New Zealand, and Europe and published over 75 peer-reviewed publications, 20 conference abstracts, and gave numerous presentations at scientific and industry meetings in the last five years.
